Wrapping Machine

A wrapping machine is a type of machinery that bonds profile materials with pre-glued decorative materials through point-by-point rolling via pressure rollers and forming wheels, as the profiles move along the conveying direction. It is suitable for laminating PVC, decorative coated paper, and solid wood veneer onto the surfaces of various strips such as wood, aluminum-plastic profiles, and foam materials. It replaces traditional painting processes and is used in the surface laminating production of door casings, skirting boards, ceiling panels, curtain rods, aluminum alloy doors and windows, photo frames, etc.

Working Principle

It uses various forming pressure rollers to simulate manual laminating actions and attach surface decorative materials to the substrate surface. Generally, the center line, the highest point, or the lowest point of the profile is selected as the starting point. The pressure rollers are fixed position by position along the profile surface contour to form the envelope of the profile outline.

Machine Types

Wrapping machines are generally divided into two major types: cold glue type and hot glue type.
  1. Cold Glue Wrapping Machine: Uses liquid glue, which can be divided into solvent-based glue and water-based glue. The gluing methods include knife coating and roller coating. Volatile solvent-based glues adopt knife coating, and the glue tank is easy to seal to prevent the volatilization of wrapping glue. Water-based glues and low-volatility solvent-based glues usually use roller coating for ease of operation.

  2. Hot Glue Wrapping Machine: Uses solid glue, which is melted in the hot glue tank of the wrapping machine before application. Generally, the heating temperature of the wrapping glue is around 220℃. It is suitable for laminating solid wood veneer and decorative coated paper.

  3. Combination Wrapping Machine: To meet different production needs, universal wrapping machines come in combinations such as cold-hot glue integrated type and cold glue knife-roller coating integrated type.

Components of the Automatic Wrapping & Laminating Production Line

Inclined Roller Feeding Unit

  1. Enables continuous plate conveying and realizes full automation of the entire production process.

  2. The operating system of the feeding unit adopts imported touch screens and PLC control systems, ensuring precise control, simple operation, and automated operation.

  3. The inclined roller feeding unit is made of 38 sets of precision-drawn seamless steel pipes covered with imported silica gel, featuring low vibration, stable conveying, and no friction or damage to the product surface.

  4. The feeding rollers are driven by "figure-8" flat belts, ensuring stable transmission, low vibration, and no noise.

  5. Each set of conveying rows is driven by a PV63-75 Sumebore worm gear reducer and a 0.75KW motor, with frequency conversion speed regulation. The speed of each set is increased proportionally to effectively control the distance between plates.

  6. The feeding rollers are arranged in an inclined manner. During conveying, the plates always lean against the guide rail and remain in a straight line until discharging, effectively reducing defective products caused by plate deviation during conveying.
